Today we recognize the incredible paraprofessionals at Anamoose-Drake Elementary and Drake-Anamoose High School. They play such an important role in supporting students, assisting teachers, and helping our schools run smoothly each day. We are so thankful for all they do! 👏

4/1/26 Due to the weather, Trap Shooting after school today has been cancelled. It is planned for next week Tuesday and Wednesday after school.

🏆 Six of our students, who wrestle for HWC SWAT, competed at the North Dakota State Youth Wrestling Tournament this weekend—with more than 1,700 wrestlers in attendance— 5 out of the 6 wrestlers made it to the podium 🥇 Clayton McDougall – State Champion 🥉 Trip Hase – 4th Place 🥉 Millie Arnold – 4th Place 🥉 Logan Schuh – 4th Place 🏅 William Lupton– 6th Place Placing five competitors at such a large tournament is an amazing accomplishment and a proud moment for our entire Anamoose-Drake school. Congratulations to these hardworking athletes! 👏

The 60th Annual All-State Music Festival was held March 26–28, celebrating an incredible weekend of music and talent. 🎶 Mason Schuh had the honor of performing in the concert band flute section alongside some of the finest high school musicians in the state, under the direction of Dr. Erika Svanoe—an acclaimed conductor and composer known for her lyrical, imaginative wind band works. The festival featured outstanding performances from jazz choir, jazz band, treble choir, orchestra, and mixed choir, and concluded with five impressive concert band selections. It was truly a memorable and successful event, and we are so proud of you, Mason! 👏

FFA State Winter CDEs were held in Minot yesterday. Everyone did fantastic and most of our contestants had their personal best scores! Agronomy- Gold team 8th place team! Mason- Gold (9th place!!!) Jade- Gold Everett-Silver Livestock- Louis- Silver Adella- Bronze 🌟Great job!! Way to prove that hard work and dedication brings progress, improvement, and success!🌟

Drake Anamoose High School Dress Up Days

Congratulations to Ella Isaak! 🎉 Ella represented our school at the 31st Annual Junior High All-State Band Festival held March 13–14, 2026, at Mandan High School. Out of 360 students from across the state who auditioned, Ella was one of only 88 talented junior high musicians selected to participate in this prestigious event! 🎶👏 During the festival, students rehearsed and performed under the direction of Dr. Myra K. Rhoden, conductor at the University of West Georgia. The ensemble performed five concert band selections, and the event concluded with a performance by the Bismarck–Mandan Wind Ensemble. We are very proud of you, Ella! 🌟🎵

Speech Saturday!! Today's meet was a short ride to neighboring Velva. Today the SADD students celebrated “National Day of Unplugging” (actual date Feb 6th). They started the day with a presentation at Dakota College at Bottineau on mental health and the importance of unplugging. Then, they ventured off to the Bottineau Winter Park for some screen free fun out on the snow hills!! A great message and a great day!!
